Fashion Pact
Confirming its commitment towards environmental sustainability, in 2021 North Sails has joined the Fashion Pact, a global coalition of more than 60 companies in the fashion and textile industry. The purpose is to work together on a common agenda with priority actions and tangible targets, to mitigate climate change, restore biodiversity, and protect the oceans.
B Corp™
In July 2021, we have achieved a very important step in our journey to becoming a responsible business, and this is through obtaining the B Corporation™ certificate. By being a B Corp™, we commit to respecting the highest standards in terms of social and environmental performance, by bringing a positive impact rather than just generating profits. We are aware that this achievement represents an important stepping stone, however, we are still on our journey towards becoming an increasingly responsible business.
Sustainable Development Goals
North Sails, through its work and its commitments, is actively contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. At North Sails we have conducted an internal analysis to identify key SDGs which we believe are particularly relevant for our values and business, based on our mission, vision and key sustainability priorities.
